How To Play Jihanki

In Japan jihanki are vending machines. Restock the machine by loading every product from the crate into a bay so the finished grid obeys every placement rule.

• One of everything
  Each product is a brand (, , , ) paired with a type (, , , ), and every pairing appears exactly once.
• Check the Placement rules section
  Two rules always apply: each brand appears once in every row and column, and so does each type. There are extra rules which change each day. Some may relate to the price labels in the bays.
  • Adjacent means directly above, below, left or right (not diagonal)
  • A rule like "Every X is adjacent to one of the Y" only needs each X to touch at least one Y. A single Y may count for several X's
• Loading products
  Tap a product in the restock section to pick it up, then tap an empty bay to load it. Tap a loaded bay to return that product back to the crate. The bays that start pre-stocked cannot be returned.

  Helpful tools

  • To keep track of your deductions cross out or highlight icons in each bay as appropriate. Highlighting one crosses out the rest of its group
  • Undo button reverses your last action
  • Reset clears the whole board so you can start afresh
  • Toggle between sorting by brand and product type in the restock crate
