Rolling the dice…
How To Play Pipcross
Pipcross is a nonogram-style logic puzzle played with dice. Place every die into the grid so that their pips form the pattern described by the clues. A new Pipcross is published every day.
- 🎲 The numbers beside each row and column work just like nonogram clues: they list the runs of consecutive pips in that line, in order. For example '2 1' means a run of two pips, a gap, then a single pip. Runs can continue across neighbouring dice!
- 🎲 Tap a die from the dice pool to select it, then tap a grid square to place it. Tap a placed die to return it to the pool.
- 🎲 A row or column clues turn green when the pips match or red when they don't and the row or column is full.
- 🎲 To assist in solving individual cells can be tapped to mark potential pips and tapped again to indicate that a pip is not present. This is a helpful way to keep track of possibilities and eliminate options as you solve the puzzle.
- 🎲 In Spin mode the 2, 3 and 6 dice can be rotated. Tap the rotate icon in the centre of one of those dice (in the pool or once placed) to spin it 90°, then work out which way each one needs to face.
